A-Cold-Wall Explores Form & Fabrication for SS22

End

A-COLD-WALL*’s SS22 collection is centred around a four-word manifesto: motion, form, oscillate and converge.

A-COLD-WALL* has been rooted in function since its inception, with Samuel Ross opting to spotlight utilitarian uniforms with a heavy emphasis on conceptuality. For SS22, the British designer delves further into his technical approach to garments, centring the collection around a four-word manifesto: motion, form, oscillate and converge.

The collection showcases an exploration into colour, juxtaposing the often subtle, brutalist-inspired hues of the label with vibrant shades of orange and yellow.

The garments themselves are constructed with a sharp focus on technical materials and utilitarian details; the Trellick overshirt, for instance, is constructed using lightweight ripstop that’s air washed, then detailed with four patch pockets and 3D darting, while the Dialogue Crew is knitted from a cotton-rich mix that’s distressed in a spray-like effect.
