Haven / Engineered Garments ‘cascadia’ Collection

Haven

Founded in New York in 2002 by Japanese designer Daiki Suzuki, Engineered Garments has become an American icon, owing to its timeless style, eclectic design sensibilities, and made in USA quality. With a shared appreciation for utilitarian clothing, HAVEN and Engineered Garments come together for a capsule collection inspired by Cascadia, a bioregion in the Pacific Northwest of both Canada and the United States. The collaboration represents a union of ideas, resources, and environment.

The three piece collection combines details from both Canadian and US military inspirations and applies Engineered Garments’ signature asymmetrical design approach. The US Military BDU jacket fuses with the Canadian Military MK2 jacket for our Cascadia Jacket, featuring four large cargo pockets, a semi-concealed placket, asymmetrical elbow reinforcement and a drawstring hem. Taking the same approach, the Cascadia Pants combine the US M-65 and Canadian Military MK2 pant in a versatile relaxed fit, with asymmetric pocket configuration and iconic detailing. We modernize the material construction with Stotz EtaProof ripstop, a high density organic cotton fabric made with extra long staple fibre, allowing it to repel water without the need for synthetic yarns, while remaining breathable and soft to the touch. Complementing these items is a special collaborative rendition of our Pacific Parka. Hand knit in Canada, it features a unique panelled and mixed knit construction throughout, with contrasting cowhide leather and suede elbow patches.
